If you're using a standard 1080p display, you can use 2560x1440, which works pretty well for me. To do it, you just need to create a custom resolution that fits your aspect ratio but is higher than that of your monitor. You actually can't adjust the antialiasing, even with tools in your driver (at least, not NVIDIA's tools). If only the game were easier to mod, it might be possible to dig in and fix this mistake some day. Even still, all of the cutscenes seem to do just fine, which is the only place where it's needed. Totally insane- you might as well have a desync in audio if it means letting the game run at a reasonable speed. I'm guessing that it was someone who lazily converted the format and rewrote the sound engine in such a way to cap speed to sound playblack.
